Women's Empowerment Inc. (WE, Inc.) believes in scholarship and the furtherance of education for all people. The WE Inc. Rise Above Scholarship was established in 2019. This scholarship is given to a female with a financial need to further their education by pursuing a college credential.
Eligibility requirements (subject to change):
- be a female attending/planning to attend a two-year or four-year college/university in fall of scholarship year;
- be enrolled in or accepted to a degree-seeking program at an accredited institution of higher education;
- demonstrate financial need;
- reside in or attend school in South Carolina;
- include two letters of recommendation;
- include an essay (containing at least 500 words not to exceed 750 words) explaining how the scholarship will be used
- mandatory attendance at the Annual Women’s Empowerment Conference
