Scholarships

Women's Empowerment Inc. (WE, Inc.) believes in scholarship and the furtherance of education for all people. The WE Inc. Rise Above Scholarship was established in 2019. This scholarship is given to a female with a financial need to further their education by pursuing a college credential.


Eligibility requirements (subject to change):

  • be a female attending/planning to attend a two-year or four-year college/university in fall of scholarship year;
  • be enrolled in or accepted to a degree-seeking program at an accredited institution of higher education;
  • demonstrate financial need;
  • reside in or attend school in South Carolina;
  • include two letters of recommendation;
  • include an essay (containing at least 500 words not to exceed 750 words) explaining how the scholarship will be used
  • mandatory attendance at the Annual Women’s Empowerment Conference
